Tourism on Achill Island

Strolling along Trawmore strand, Keel Ever since the first hotel was built on Achill Island in 1839 the island has been a popular destination for tourists as well as artists and writers. Achill currently has five EU Blue Flag beaches, including the glorious Trawmore strand at Keel (left). Our gallery section contains a selection of Achill views.
